To get your bearings on this map, find the old high school, near the corner of Main and High School Court. This map is from before High School Court was built. J. D. Mayhugh Mfg. Co is across from where High School Court meets North Main. The small buildings with a "D" on them are homes. This map is from 1921. This image represents just a tiny section of a collection of maps that the Sanborn Map Company produced from roughly 1890 to 1930. The company has both later and earlier dates, but generally not in the area covered by Northern Kentucky Views. These maps have extraordinary detail showing locations of buildings in many small towns in Kentucky and other states. For Walton, there are two maps (north and south) from 1920 and three maps (north, south, and side streets) from 1927. They're copyrighted, and while I question the validity of a 100 year old copyright, I've nevertheless elected not to post them for you. The good news is that they are all online and you can get to them. You'll need a password. You can get a free password either with your membership in the Kentucky Historical Society ($35 per year), or your library card (free!) from the Mary Ann Mongan Library, which is the public library in Covington.
