Hebron Fire, 1912
Fire of mysterious origin, but which is believed to have started from a defective lighting system, destroyed the large general store of Garnett & Goodrich, at Hebron, Ky., yesterday, causing a loss of $5500. The building contained the lodge room of the Hebron Lodge of Odd Fellows, and all of their effects were also destroyed. The building was frame, and the first floor was occupied by the store and the second floor by the lodge room. The loss on the building will be $2500, covered by $1200 insurance. The loss on the stock will approximate $3000, covered by $2000 insurance. The lodge effects were destroyed, with no insurance.
