Anj incorporated village on the Ohio River in the northeastern part of
Bracken County, 15 miles from Brooksville, the county seat, and 182
miles by river from Louisville. The nearest railroad station
is 10 miles distant. The first settlement here was made March 1,
1800 and Foster was incorporated as a village in 1857. It's
present population is 125. Tobacco is its chief product.
