Dr. W. J. Hull, 226
Sixth avenue, Dayton, Chief Medical Staff, G.A.R. Encampment, was born
March 21, 1863 near Maysville, Ky.; his father, W. W. Hull, and his
mother, a Miss Belle Evens, were of prominent families. Samuel Hull, his
grandfather, was in the war of 1812. He is also a descendent of Commodore
Isaac Hull, of naval fame. Dr. Hull came to Dayton in 1884, engaging in
the paint business with the Indian Paint Co. He was married to Miss Lida
Thomas of this city. Dr. Hull is a graduate of the Cincinnati College of
Medicine and Surgery and was on the staff of the Surgeon General of the
Kentucky Division of the Confederate Veterans of Nashville in 1897. |
