Grant's Lick
	A place of about 80 inhabitants, on Philip's creek, in the southern part of Campbell county, 8 miles from Newport, the county seat, and 3 1/2 from Butler Station, on the Kentucky Central R.R. It is a very old settlement, and has been known by its present name for over 90 years. It ships staves, ties and tobacco, and has a weekly mail. Benjamin P. Gosney, postmaster.
