A settlement of about 200 inhabitants formed in 1798 and located in the
southern part of Grant county, 5 miles from Williamstown, the county
seat, 23 from Walton Station on the L., C. & L. R.R. and 112 from
Louisville. It is on the line of the proposed Cincinnati Southern R.R.,
and is also known as Turner's Station. Shipments of tobacco, grain,
stock and lumber are made from here. Stage to Williamstown, Walton and
Lexington. Daily mail. J.A. Turner, postmaster.
