 of Stewart Iron Works - jail cells.  The jail cells of Alcatraz - and
hundred of other jails -  came from Covington, Kentucky.

Overman Schrader Cordage Company, Covington
 

The Overman & Schrader Cordage Company’s Eagle Tine Mills had their offices at 26-28 E. Second Street in Cincinnati, but the mill was in Covington, on the northwest corner of 16th and Russell.  They manufactured hemp, flax, sisal and manila twines, cords, and ropes.  At it’s peak, 500 or so people worked there.
