A Modest Proposal

On a recent visit to Washington, I noticed that there are cross streets named "B" Street, and "D" Street and "E" Street.

And I thought, what a shame this poor little town doesn't have anyone or anything in its past that was worthy of having a street named for them.  No famous books inspired here, no famous Civil War Generals, no famous judges, no notable firsts...

Seriously folks, you can't swing a dead cat in Washington without hitting something seriously historic.

If you've got more history per square foot than any other town in Kentucky, a reading of your street names shouldn't sound like an outtake from Sesame Street?

Just one man's opinion....
