A Status Report from the
Superintendent |
| |
 |
|
The
common schools of Grant County are progressing nicely. We have in our
County fifty-sixth white and four colored districts, it all of which we
have good schools, under the control of excellent teachers, with good
attendance and general satisfaction expressed; it fact the cause of
education in Grant County seems to have received a new impetus.
We have a better qualified class of teachers than ever before.
Our county institute this year was acknowledged to be the best
ever held in our County. While there remains much yet to be done before our schools
will be what the requisites of our common school law would have them be,
may we hope that the spirit of progress will continue until the desired
end will be reached? |
