The county seat of Trimble county is a town of about 300 inhabitants,
and was settled in 1832. It is 40 miles from Louisville and 8 from
Campbellsburg, on the Louisville, Cincinnati and Lexington R.R., its
nearest shipping point. Its principal commerce is in tobacco and country
produce. Daily mail. W.R. Love, postmaster.
