1833 Maysville to Cincinnati Mail Carrier

E. Worthen is contractor for carrying the mail from Maysville, Kentucky to Cincinnati, Ohio, seventy miles, twice a week, from 1st January, 1832 to 31st December, 1835, at a compensation of four hundred and ninety dollars per annum.

He was directed to supply Augusta, Kentucky, with the mail from the commencement to the end of his contract, for which he was allowed on the 26th June, 1832, compensation (including ferriage over the Ohio river) at the annual rate of $38.25.

He was directed on the 28th March, 1833, to supply Dover, Kentucky, with the mail from 1st April, 1833, to the expiration of his contract, increased distance of about a half a mile, for which he was allowed compensation (including ferriages over the Ohio river) at the annual rate of $38.25.
