A note on sources                        
You'll note there are no election results prior to 1824.  That's because Kentucky was virtually all Democratic in that period, and besides, I found no actual results.
The bulk of this material is from a classic on the subject, Jasper B. Shannon and Ruth McQuown's Presidential Politics in Kentucky, 1824 - 1948.  It's a wonderful
source, but it stops in 1948 (it was published in 1950).  Results from 1976 forward can be found on the web site: http://www.elect.ky.gov/results/, which  
is the Kentucky Secretary of State's web site.
